Me Box Assignment - due 9/6/18
This year, our class is going to be using “Me Boxes” as a tool to build enthusiasm in our classroom and to help kick off our Writer’s Notebooks. A “Me Box” is a simple project. Using a shoebox or photo type box, collect items from around your home that help explain who you are and the things you are interested in. For example, you might include a family photo, a ticket stub from a baseball game, an example of something they are curious about, or a souvenir from a vacation. The “Me Box” should include 4-6 items that you will be able to show the class and explain why you chose the item. This activity is a perfect confidence builder, a way to show creativity, share interests, and show appreciation for one another. I will be sharing my “Me Box” in class as well. All items will be returned home, but please do not send anything of great value.
