5) stay warm 💗

Book Report Choices

You will Choose ONE of the following:

Cereal Box
Book Report
If you could invent a cereal based on the book you read, what would it be?
For example, for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, you might invent a cereal called Wizard Wands. Cover an empty cereal box with white or light colored paper.
Front: Write the name of the cereal and draw a picture to go with it. Draw characters or other pictures from the story to help sell your product.
Back: Design a game that is based on the story. It can be a puzzle, a word, game, etc. Make sure it includes information from the book.
Right Side: Under the heading “ingredients”, list the main characters and write a sentence about each one. Then, describe the setting (place & time).
Left Side: Write a summary of the book.
Top: Write the title and author of the book you read.
Bottom: Your name and grade

Alphabet Book

Book Report
Create an alphabet book that focuses on key events, characters, ideas, and information from your book (not vocabulary).

Include an illustration on each page as well as 1-2 sentences explaining each letter.

For example, if your book was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, you could include a page that said, “H is for Hogwarts. Hogwarts is the wizard school Harry is sent to in order to learn magic. It is the main setting of the book.”

18 letters minimum. You may repeat letters if needed.

MAIN CHARACTER DIARY
Book Report
Keep a diary from a main character’s point of view (your gender doesn’t matter).  This should include his/her thoughts & feelings, actions, and significant events from the entire novel.

Minimum 10 entries in the diary. Each entry must have substance and add to the overall understanding of the story. Details should align with what we know of the character already.

Be creative with your format and the overall look of the diary!

Students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on science, technology, and problem solving activities in an exciting and new environment. We will need 5+ drivers a week, but only 2 can stay as chaperones each week. We will have different chaperones each week, as there are many of you who would like to attend. If there are more than ten (and there will be), names will be drawn from a hat for who gets to attend. Please send your chaperone paperwork back as soon as possible (by Friday). In addition, health and emergency forms must be filled out for students attending STARBASE. These came home on Monday and should be returned as soon as possible also.
