Cereal Box
Book Report
If you could invent a cereal
based on the book you read, what would it be?
For
example, for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, you might invent a cereal
called Wizard Wands. Cover an empty cereal box with white or light colored
paper.
Front:
Write the name of the cereal and draw a picture to go with it. Draw characters
or other pictures from the story to help sell your product.
Back:
Design a game that is based on the story. It can be a puzzle, a word, game,
etc. Make sure it includes information from the book.
Right
Side: Under the heading “ingredients”, list the main characters and write a
sentence about each one. Then, describe the setting (place & time).
Left
Side: Write a summary of the book.
Top:
Write the title and author of the book you read.
Bottom:
Your name and grade
Alphabet Book
Book Report
Create
an alphabet book that focuses on key events, characters, ideas, and information
from your book (not vocabulary).
Include
an illustration on each page as well as 1-2 sentences explaining each letter.
For
example, if your book was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, you could
include a page that said, “H is for Hogwarts. Hogwarts is the wizard school
Harry is sent to in order to learn magic. It is the main setting of the book.”
18 letters minimum. You may
repeat letters if needed.
MAIN CHARACTER DIARY
Book Report
Keep a diary from a main character’s point of view (your gender
doesn’t matter). This should include his/her thoughts & feelings,
actions, and significant events from the entire novel.
Minimum 10 entries in the diary. Each entry must have substance
and add to the overall understanding of the story. Details should align with
what we know of the character already.
Be creative with your format and the overall look of the diary!
